The Skykomish Area is Railroad Country. There are signs of it everywhere -- even in the campgrounds.

Half of the campsites at Money Creek are located beyond the East Entrance on a spur along the South Fork of the Skykomish River:

Site 24, at the end of the Spur, is closest to the RR Crossing hidden behind a row of trees. Beware.

The river views from the East Spur are much more scenic than those from the West Loop:

The West Loop is set in Old Growth Forest, with about half of the sites having river access. It is closer to the trains, but further from the RR Crossing and its hourly whistle.
